The figurine is that of an Adivasi man reading a book. This is an extremely elegant and decorative showpiece which can be used as a table décor. The artwork is made with traditional techniques of the Dhokra tribe who, in present day India are found in areas of Orissa, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal and Bihar. The technique used is called lost metal wax in which non ferrous metals like brass is used. The use of brass makes the product durable.
