The artwork of the product represents a fusion between diverse forms of tribal art. Traditionally, the women of the tribe made auspicious drawings of ‘Palghat’, the mother goddess with rice paste on walls of the dwellings with bamboo sticks at the time of marriage. The forms are created by joining two triangles vertically or horizontally with their sliced tips meeting in the centre, the linear arms, feet and head give this figure there rhythm and movement.
Dhokra Art is native to Chhattisgarh where the tribals use Lost-wax process to cast brass into shapes of different figures. The wooden frame is also hand painted in Warli art to give it an authentic look.
