The use of brass in the product makes it very durable. Dhokra Art is being practiced in India since the time of Harappa and Mohenjodaro. Now-a-days this art is mainly prevalent in Central and Eastern India mostly in the states of Orissa, Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal. A non ferrous metal, mostly- Brass is used for making the products.
