Dhokra Art Working Lady With Bucket
This working lady has been made by Dhokra artisans inspired from the tribal people of the east. The method use in making this figurine is called lost wax metal casting technique. The use of brass in the product makes it very durable. The women is shown to carry a bucket in hand suggesting a laborious activity.This product makes an excellent home décor suitable to be placed on the table top or to be added to your showpiece collection.
Dhokra Art is being practiced in India since the time of Harappa and Mohenjodaro. Now-a-days this art is mainly prevalent in Central and Eastern India mostly in the states of Orissa, Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal. A non ferrous metal, mostly- Brass is used for making the products.
